Julee Cunanan - Graphic & Web Designer
"I wear my heart on my sleeve. Every piece is made with time and intention, with the purpose of making an impact. Authenticity will always stand the test of time."
Since my last year of high school, my passion to create became prevalent. I practiced theater, music, sewing, and arts and crafts. Around this time, I discovered FRUiTS Magazine. Without realizing, this life-changing discovery led me towards the world of design. The colorful layouts influenced me, so much to the point where I began to edit my pictures into layouts like the magazine’s. My cousin noticed this pattern and asked “you know that’s graphic design, right?” After many nights of editing, I finally knew what this beloved hobby was called.
Later, I pursued this passion at Vanier College. Here, I was taught screen-based tools such as the Adobe Suite, HTML and CSS. I designed promotional posters, logos, brochures, magazines, websites, and other sorts of branding techniques.
I wear my heart on my sleeve. Every piece is made with time and intention, with the purpose of making an impact. Authenticity will always stand the test of time.
I find inspiration from different practices like fashion and architecture. I look up to creative minds like Takashi Murakami, Iris Van Herpen, and Zaza Hadid.
